Fern and Blossom were very excited because Pepper laid her first egg and it looked a lot like Marmalade's eggs. Marmalade was one of their favorites. She died last summer and they still miss her.
Ever since Pepper was a chick they thought she looked like Marmalade. Now her eggs look like Marmalade's too. WOW! We are all wondering if she is Marmalade's sister.

How cool to see her lay an egg!! I had the volume turned up and my dog Moose was turning his head from side to side. He never heard a chicken before!!!
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, Marmalade was a beautiful and entertaining hen..and Pepper may indeed be Marmalade's apprentice and has been getting instructions from Marmalade as to how to delight you (and us) It appears Pepper is a very good student..and will carry on the legacy of Marmalade for us all :-)
